On 5th November 2022, the 20th Nihongo de Asobou was held at MOELC Newton Campus. Even though it was a rainy Saturday morning, the event started without a hitch with an icebreaker that saw students playing じゃんけんぽん to advance their ranks from "infantry", "ninja", "samurai" to "Nobunaga" status. The event was well attended by 66 students and alumni participants.

We were honored to have three vice-principals of The Japanese School Singapore (シンガポール日本人学校); Secondary school, Changi campus and Clementi campus attend the event. The Japanese teachers of the three campuses as well as the MOELC teachers engaged the students in a friendly competition, pitting their Japanese language skills to the test.

One of two teams from Nanyang Polytechnic clinched the first prize. We are delighted to see their enthusiasm in learning the Japanese language. We wish all students success in their language learning journey.
